Gluten-free crackers are a great snack to have on hand and these super seed crackers are little nutritional powerhouses full of good fats and fiber. I love them broken up and sprinkled over a salad for that extra crunch or as a snack with hummus and crudités. The recipe is great to make in batches because trust, me these won’t last you long!
Ingredients: (preferably organic)
- ½ cup chia seeds
- ½ cup flax seeds
- ½ cup sunflower seeds
- ½ cup pumpkin seeds
- ¼ cup sesame seeds
- ¼ cup hemp seeds
- ½ – 1 tsp salt
- 1 ¼ cup lukewarm water
Directions:
01. Pre-heat the oven to 95C.
02. In a mixing bowl, combine chia seeds, flax seeds, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, sesame seeds, hemp seeds, salt and lukewarm water. Mix well and let sit for 10 minutes.
03. On a parchment paper lined baking sheet, spread out the seed mixture as thinly as possible, it works best if you distribute it evenly with the back of a spoon.
04. Bake in the oven for 3 hours until crispy. When it’s done remove from the oven, let it cool and break it up into pieces. Store in an airtight jar for up to two weeks.
