Slow Roasted Beets

The perfect addition to any salads and bowls, and hands down the tastiest way to prepare the root vegetable. Beets are a literal superfood, rich in iron, folate and vitamin C. They are also super detoxifiers, helping to keep your body alkaline and in homeostasis.

Ingredients: (preferably oraganic)

  • 2 beets, washed
  • a drizzle of olive oil
  • a pinch of salt
  • a splash of water

Directions:

01. Pree-heat the oven to 200 degrees.

02. Place the beets on a parchment paper lined baking sheer and rub with avocado oil and salt.

03. Fold the parchment paper and twist the ends into a bonbon. Add a splash of water.

04. Bake at 200 for 90 minutes.

05. Remove the beets from the oven and let cool. When cooled, peel them and store in the fridge for up to three days or use right away.
