Nothing like a cozy cup of hot chocolate this time of year. I like to make mine functional with nerve-calming ashwaghanda and nut butter that packs healthy fats. It’s the perfect sweet treat and you know all the ingredients are good for you.
Ingredients: (preferably organic)
- 1 cup plant-based milk
- 1 tsp almond or cashew butter
- 1 tbsp cacao powder
- ¼ tsp ashwaghanda
- ½ tbsp tsp maple syrup
- a pinch of salt
Directions:
01. Heat up the milk in a small saucepan.
02. Mix together the milk, nut butter, cacao powder, ashwaghanda, maple syrup and salt in a high speed blender and blend until creamy.
03. Pour into your favorite cup and enjoy with some freshly grated dark chocolate or coconut whipped cream on top.
