This is the perfect post-workout smoothie full of plant-based protein! I am not a fan of protein powders, they are too processed, contain artificial sweeteners and don’t taste very good. I prefer to get my protein from whole foods like seeds, nuts and legumes which are plant-protein packed superfoods provided by nature. This smoothie provides plenty of protein from hemp seeds and nut butter, iron from the spinach and antioxidants from the berries plus it tastes like a treat!
Ingredients: (preferably organic)
- 1 banana
- 1 cup frozen strawberries
- 1 cup spinach
- ½ date
- 1 tbsp hemp seeds
- 1 tbsp almond butter
- 1 cup plant milk (I use cashew)
Directions:
01. Add all the ingredients to a high speed blender and blend until smooth. Enjoy!
